CARMEL, IN- Lois Davis, beloved Indiana artist, art teacher, and wife of Harry A. Davis (1914-2006) will be the honored guest at a reception during the auction preview at Wickliff Auctioneers, September 12, 2014.
From 2pm until 7pm, guests may preview the September 13 auction, which features original art from the Davis family collection, including decades of paintings by Harry and Lois. The September session is the first of many to include the Davis collection, which is comprised of hundreds of paintings, drawings and sketches.
Beginning at 4pm, Lois Davis will be present to greet friends and guests. She has relocated to Texas to be near her son, Mark, who is bringing her back to Indiana for this special event and auction. In addition, guests can enjoy live music by The Disco Mountain Boys, a bluegrass/folk ensemble led by renowned Indiana artist, C.W. Mundy, from 5pm until 7pm. Hors d’oeuvres will be served at 4pm.
