Wickliff Auctioneers Year End Review

Since our beginnings as a leading Indiana auction house, Wickliff Auctioneers has long been regarded as “Indiana’s Leading Fine Arts Auctioneers”, with a focus on online specialty auctions including the sale of historic Indiana art by the state’s most recognized and storied artists, setting many auction sale price records along the way.
As the company has grown, additional emphasis has been placed on the sale of American regional and European fine art by historic and current artists from the early 19th century through today. Our experience and extensive digital marketing combine to create a winning formula that places desirable art for auction in the right position to reach a receptive market of bidders.
Our extensive experience in original paintings in a variety of mediums (oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, collage, etc.) is also engaged in the identification and valuation of works on paper and multiples (lithographs, serigraphs, giclees, chromoliths, albumen photographs, etc.) for antique, traditional, post-modern and contemporary styles.
A staple genre since 1992, our online specialty auctions that feature fine jewelry has always been well-received by our customer base. Over the last decade, our reputation as a leader in the sale of fine and estate jewelry at auction is unparalleled in our state.
We have worked with trust departments and trustees, financial institutions, estate representatives and individual collectors to effectively market their fine and estate jewelry, and continue to see growth in our online and live jewelry auctions, consistently drawing new bidders to the auctions, and increasing sell-through rates.
Our relationships with area gemologists and jewelry retailers provides a superior source when a gemologist’s appraisal is required. While not every item consigned requires a jeweler’s opinion of quality and value, Wickliff Auctioneers can recommend quality sources for reports, and can submit significant items for authentication and grading from the Gemologist’s Institute of America (GIA), when appropriate.
We can accept a single item, or an entire collection, for inclusion in one of our online jewelry auctions, and can provide pre-sale estimates when necessary.
Bronzes, art glass, antique and modern sculpture, sterling silver, or select porcelain and pottery can be easily marketed by Wickliff Auctioneers.
Our history of identification and valuation of artist originals, limited edition items and 19th and 20th century objets d’art, places us in position to effectively market such items to the appropriate audience. While values have (and will) change on some items in these categories, our goal is to expose the items to the broadest market, and achieving current market value.
Wickliff Auctioneers also brings years of experience in the sale of such items as: Native American arts and crafts, Native American artifacts, US coins and numismatic treasures, antique and modern arms, and edged weapons and militaria.
We have successfully marketed items in these categories to bidders worldwide, and are diligent in accurate representation, enabling bidder confidence. As a licensed FFL, we are able to conduct lawful transfers of firearms with background checks, both in Indiana and throughout the United States.
